The 2009 July 4th town celebration was a huge success. The Historical Society sponsored this event along with tremendous help from the Hoe n’ Hope Garden Club and many friends and volunteers. A red, white and blue parade started the event along main street with festive bikes and outfits to really kick of the July 4th celebration. The parade finished up at our town square where well over 100 people of all ages enjoyed free hot-dogs, lemonade, cotton candy, watermelon and lots of baked goodies. This was the second year for this event which has already shown growth and town support. We would like to thank all of our volunteers who helped make this event a success. Your help and support is greatly appreciated!!!
