February Meeting: Lake Myra

“Lake Myra” will be the topic of the Feb. 23 meeting of the Wendell Historical Society. Effort is being made to include the property, a 1761 land grant from the King of England, on the National Register of Historic Places. Speaker will be John P. Wood of the State Historic Preservation Office in the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. in the small fellowship hall of Wendell Baptist Church, 3651 Wendell Blvd. All Wendell Historical Society meetings are open to the public.
