Wendell Wonderland, Friday, Dec. 2 – The museum will have special hours — 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. — for Wendell’s kickoff of the Christmas season with a storytime for kids. In costume, docent Lynnette Pearce will entertain children with a reading of The Polar Express at 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. while parents have an opportunity to explore museum displays. Sandy Townsend will assist Lynnette at the museum, and Tracy Coley and Linda Hess will make their way through the crowded streets distributing candy canes with attached messages inviting folks to the museum. Getting to the museum will be easy with the circulating trolley that will pass the front door. The first 50 kids at storytime will receive a special gift.
